Kellie
Practice Manager
Kellie began Veterinary Nursing at The Mountains Animal Hospital in Blaxland before transferring to Penrith to open Coreen Avenue Veterinary Clinic in 1996. She has worked alongside both Dr Lynn Mathison and Dr Nicole McMillan for over 15 years and seen Coreen Avenue Vets grow from a one vet, one nurse practice to the thriving small animal practice that it is today.
Kellie is the Practice Manager and handles the day to day running of the clinic. She also manages to fit in training the family German Shepherd 'Maestro', playing netball and coaching junior netball and little athletics teams.
Sharon
Senior Veterinary Nurse, Western Sydney Cat Hospital
Sharon began Veterinary Nursing at the RSPCA before joining the team in 1999. She has completed her certificates at TAFE and now enjoys attending to both the nursing and reception duties at the clinic. Sharon has a genuine desire to help people and their pets. Her passions lie with our feline friends and she now helps with the daily running of the Western Sydney Cat Hospital.
She owns a naughty Retriever named 'Chloe' and is also kept busy by her two beautiful daughters.
Louisa
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Louisa has been an integral part of the Coreen Avenue Vets team since joining in 2001. She has completed her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing and has also completed her Veterinary Nursing Technician’s Diploma.
Louisa enjoys heading the Kitten Adoption Program by fostering and rearing orphaned kittens. Her house is overflowing with her menagerie of fifteen animals, many of which she acquired after falling in love with them after tending to them on those cold dark winter nights.
Dennis
Ambulance Driver & Veterinary Nurse
Dennis worked at the RSPCA for several years before joining Coreen Avenue Vets in 2000, so he is very experienced in animal handling. Dennis is our ambulance driver and regularly visits clients that are housebound to ensure that their pets receive the medications they require and have transport to and from the hospital when needed. He is also an experienced Veterinary Nurse.
In his spare time he loves to play soccer, ride mountain bikes and go skiing with his wife Lynn. He is also kept busy with his dogs 'Ruby' and Kenny.
Brooke
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Brooke completed all of her Veterinary Nursing certificates and initially worked at the Animal Referral Hospital. There she worked in all areas of nursing including radiology, surgical and emergency care. She joined Coreen Avenue Vets in 2004 and has added much knowledge to our nursing team.
Brooke has implemented our new Seniors Club and regularly attends local schools to present Dog Safety seminars.

Lesley
Receptionist & Veterinary Nurse
Lesley has been a Veterinary Nurse for almost 20 years. She worked alongside Kellie at the Mountains Animal Hospital before taking a break to have a family. She joined the team at Coreen Avenue in 2000 as our receptionist. She adds valuable knowledge and a cheerful face to the clinic and loves just to help people.
She lives locally and is kept busy with her three children and their huge mastiff named Axel, who loves to help with the washing.
Kylie
Receptionist & Veterinary Nurse
Kylie began veterinary nursing at a bird specialist in 1993. She then joined Coreen Avenue Veterinary Clinic in 2006 after taking a break from veterinary nursing to begin a family.
Kylie has a special interest in animal behaviour and has completed her Canine Good Citizenship certificate.
Kylie is also the co-ordinator of our Kids Critter Club and enjoys doing hospital tours and fun days with the children.
Kate
Veterinary Nurse
After working in the confines of an office, Kate found her way to Coreen Avenue Veterinary Clinic looking for a more "hands-on" job. She loves working with the animals and has completed her Certificate IV at TAFE.
Kate has a genuine soft spot for Staffordshire Bull Terriers and has two of her own, 'Narla' and 'Hulk'. Kate became a pround “nanna” in early 2006 when 'Narla' had her first litter of puppies. Kate is now a proud mother herself and has two children that keep her busy when she is not working at Coreen Avenue Vet Clinic.
Melinda
Veterinary Nurse
Melinda had several years of Veterinary Nursing experience before joining Coreen Avenue Vets in April 2003. She brings much knowledge and skill with her, which all of the staff are benefiting from.
Mel has an interest in puppies and runs our Puppy Preschool classes with Kylie.
Mel loves buying presents for people and runs our birthday club here at the clinic. She has a German Shepherd named Rufus that she rescued and has been rearing back to good health. She is also a proud mum of two beautiful children.
Claire
Veterinary Nurse
Claire joined the team at Coreen Ave Vet Clinic in 2007 after completing a work experience program through her local high school. She is currently completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing via correspondence.
Claire is our master at multi tasking and can be found greeting the clients at reception, assisting the vets in surgery and tending to the needs of our patients – all on the same day! She loves spending time with her border collie Bundy and visiting her grandparents.
Vanessa
Veterinary Nurse
Vanessa began a traineeship with Coreen Ave Vet Clinic while still completing her HSC at a local high school. She is currently completing her Certificate IV via correspondence and hopes to complete this over the next 12 months.
Jenni
Veterinary Nurse
Jenni joined our team in 2010 and has been nursing for over 8 years previously. Jenni has worked in various Small Animal practices along the East Coast of Australia. Jenni enjoys the medical side of nursing adding her experence to our team. She has two dogs, two cats as well as fish and a baby girl who is keeping her on her feet.
Loren
Veterinary Nurse
Loren has been with the team since 2009. She is currently studying for a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at TAFE. Loren has a special interest in horses and currently owns Jackson and Merlin. Loren also has four cats, one dog and 20 chickens.
Shannon
Kennel Hand
Shannon is currently in Year 12 completing her HSC as well as doing an Animal Care TAFE course. Shannon hopes once completed her studies to do more and to become a Veterinary Nurse. She has two dogs and a rabbit.
Hannah
Kennel Hand
Hannah is currently studying for her HSC with the inspiration to go on and do further studies to become a Veterinarian. Hannah lives on acreage and has lots of animals including dogs, chickens, lizards and a horse.
